The working frequency has a significant impact on the core loss of the transformer, so it should be designed and used according to the operating frequency, which is referred to as the working frequency.
1. Operating Frequency The core loss of a transformer is greatly related to frequency, so it should be designed and used according to the operating frequency, which is referred to as the operating frequency.
2. Rated Power The output power that the transformer can operate continuously under specified frequency and voltage without exceeding the specified temperature rise.
3. Rated Voltage Refers to the voltage that can be applied to the transformer's coils, which must not exceed the specified value during operation.
4. Voltage Ratio Refers to the ratio of the primary voltage to the secondary voltage of the transformer, distinguishing between no-load voltage ratio and load voltage ratio.
5. No-Load Current When the secondary of the transformer is open-circuited, there is still a certain amount of current in the primary, which is called no-load current. The no-load current consists of magnetizing current (which generates magnetic flux) and iron loss current (caused by core loss). For a 50Hz power transformer, the no-load current is basically equal to the magnetizing current.
6. No-Load Loss Refers to the power loss measured in the primary when the secondary of the transformer is open-circuited. The main loss is core loss, followed by the loss caused by the no-load current in the primary coil's copper resistance (copper loss), which is very small.
7. Efficiency Refers to the percentage ratio of secondary power P2 to primary power P1. Generally, the larger the rated power of the transformer, the higher the efficiency.
8. Insulation Resistance Indicates the insulation performance between the transformer coils and between each coil and the core. The level of insulation resistance is related to the performance of the insulation materials used, the temperature, and the degree of humidity.
